FINALLY! The Lady of Shalott began soaping in 2011. For the past 5 years, we have sold our products at craft shows. Repeat customers and new ones all came from the shows. Don't get me wrong: we love our craft shows, but the time has come to expand our marketing endeavors and not be limited to shows. We have always known this day would come, but time did not permit. So now here we are. It's time for us to learn all the skills today's kids already know. We have had a website for years, but it was never what it should have been. Customers really couldn't order through it the way they wanted, and I just didn't have the time to deal with it. We also had a facebook page, but it was basically just a place holder. Yep, we have been on ETSY for years, but never really marketed anything. But "the times they are a changin". So now that I'm retired (from my day job), the time has come to learn all these new skills and really bring The Lady of Shalott to the forefront where she belongs. Pinterest? Twitter? So much to learn.
I am finding that Shopify (my new website hosting) has a wealth of information, tutorials, and webinars which I am finding VERY helpful. But if anyone is reading this and has any suggestions about sites to look at, blogs to read, etc., etc., please post a comment with the information.
Well, thanks for reading. I'll let you know my progress.
