Luxury Fragrances

Blood Orange - The fleshy fragrance of a blood orange. Great as a blender or standalone. A great deep and rich alternative to standard orange.Smells like an orange soda!

Coconut Citrus Sorbet - This bright fragrance cleanses your senses with the refreshing notes of soothing lemon, zesty lime, creamy coconut milk and sweet vanilla bean. It's the perfect combination of sweet and citrus that that will make you dream of summer days! We think it smells like a pina colada!

Dragon's Breath - Earthy, yet smooth.  This fragrance is a silky blend of Champa, vanillas, and heliotrope that is a more delicate version of the classic Dragon's Blood.

Dragon's Blood - This mysterious, alluring blend is difficult to describe. With warming notes of amber, incense, Madagascar vanilla and patchouli, our Dragon' s Blood Fragrance Oil is lightened up with layers of romantic notes such as rose, jasmine and lilac. Finally, this sensual, deep blend is topped off with the colorful, light touches of blood orange and grapefruit.

English Rose - This rose smells like an English rose garden. Not as deep as other roses, this is a true, light rose that adds a nice round rose smell to our soap. We believe it to be a soft, sensuous rose scent that is not overwhelming!

Florida Frangipani - This is a tropical fruit scent that is great for spring. The smell makes you want to wander onto the nearest plane and go island hopping. It's a sweet ambrosial nectar that is sure to please the most discerning nose. A great  addition to any soap or perfume collection!

Flower ChildThis is a sophisticated, complex scent. It features top notes of fresh green tea and bergamot, rich middle notes of patchouli, amber, vanilla and jasmine, and is deepened with notes of musk and smooth woods.  For those of you who love patchouli, this is a very toned-down version.

Note from The Lady of Shalott - I am not a big patchouli fan even though it was a big favorite of some in the 70's.  However, Flower Child is one of my favorites.  It's Patchouli, but NOT.

French Vanilla - More adult than some Vanillas, this is a creamy, dulcet scent with a hint of browned caramelized sugar to tantalize the senses and beguile the nose.  This one’s for vanilla lovers only!

Gardenia - With a main single note of Gardenia, this fragrance does have just a hint of rose and tender orchid to accentuate the Gardenia and make it just a bit deeper and more complex.  We think it smells like a fresh, beautiful gardenia flower.  This one is a customer favorite!

Grapefruit Lily - Light, romantic and airy, this fragrance is a wonderful scent for lotion, and perfume. Of course, like all of our fragrances, it's great in our soap too! This blend is heavier on the Lily than the biting notes of citrus and makes for an ethereal sensation! This fragrance was inspired by a painting by Dori Spector called "Grapefruit and Gift." This fragrance is one of our personal favorites, especially for summers in Florida!

Green Apple - This fragrance is tart, fresh, and tangy just like a green apple, but with a little sweetness thrown in.  It’s just like a Jolly Rancher green apple candy!

Heather & Hyacinth - This fragrance is more Hyacinth than Heather. An unpretentious scent, it doesn't smell much like a floral but rather, smells like a brisk, unisex scent. This scrumptious scent smells like a stroll through the most lovely of proper English gardens. You’ll fall head over heels in love with this one.  It's a best seller at Celtic festivals and renaissance fairs.

Honeysuckle - Honeysuckle is a heady, intoxicating, sweet blend of yellow floral and nectarous, honeyed, almost fruity tonality. The scent intensifies with the fall of the night, aided by its complimenting sweet nuance of jasmine vines which throughout the Mediterranean are planted side by side, inviting strollers of the night into their sensual, narcotic embrace.  And yet amidst all this there is a markedly light-hearted and peaceful, serene quality about honeysuckle. Honeysuckle lends itself naturally to la vita bella, the good life; the joy of grasping immediate pleasure and not denying yourself what is there to touch, to feel, to savor....

Indian Sandalwood - This is our secret blend of Sandalwood that has a lighter and more delicate scent than most regular sandalwood fragrances to reflect an incense-type of Sandalwood.  We love this one and use it as a stand-alone fragrance as well as a note in other proprietary fragrances.

Lavender - A good lavender is a staple for any fragrance collection. Ours smells very true to the essential oil and is great alone or in a blend. Lavender is considered the most useful of all essential oils/scents.  Known to help relieve headaches, insomnia, tension and stress, its therapeutic properties have been well documented all over the world.

Lavender is a perennial herb recognized for its exotic perfume and medicinal properties and is commonly grown in gardens with a grey-green leafed bushy plant and spikes of pale violet flowers in summer.

Old English Lavender, a popular inhabitant of a cottage garden, can grow up to two to three feet high, producing fragrant grayish leaves and blue/purple flowers. The more compact variety Hidcote, has darker blue flowers, grows to around a foot high and is very pretty in any flower or herb garden.

What it smells like: Each variety of lavender has a slightly different scent. The Spanish lavender has the sharpest smell. True lavender has a camphor-like smell to it. If you have a lavender plant, run your hand along the leaves and sniff. Some lavenders are more subtle than others. Bulgarian Lavender is very mild and low on the camphor notes. French lavender, a little less than that. Some simply describe it as having a piney floral scent.

We believe our lavender to be close to the Bulgarian Lavender in that it is mild but fragrant and low on the camphor notes.

Lemongrass Sage - this is the standard lemongrass sage fragrance.  One of those "barely there" fragrances,  it is herbaceous with a hint of citrus

Lilac - This fragrance is formulated to make it the most realistic lilac available. This lilac really sticks in our soaps and lotions, unlike most lilac scents. It is a magnificent light floral scent.

Mandarin Myrrh - This fragrance is a blend of the sweet mixed with the sophisticated romantic notes of a deeper side of longing. Mandarin Orange, Meyer Lemon and Tangerine Zest tangle with the freshness of Basil, Sweet Clove Bud and Star Jasmine before being brought to the grounding earth with Indonesian Patchouli, Indian Myrrh, Golden Amber and Egyptian Musk. It's a lot to fit into one fragrance and we think you'll appreciate it.

Note from The Lady of Shalott:  this is one of my personal favorites.  I use this one when I want to feel mysterious, medieval, and sensual.  :-)  Great for layering.

Mango Peach Salsa - This fragrance is complex, sweet and delicious. It's a combination of tart mango and sweet peach with a hint of fresh herbs and spicy jalapeno. The tart notes shine in our soaps while the sweet and spicy notes stand out in our lotions.

Note from The Lady of Shalott: This fragrance is a favorite of our customers!

Mayan Gold - This luxurious fragrance is a mix of rare woods, spices and amber. It is considered an oriental fragrance with a very unique note: chocolate! Our blend contains a large amount of essential oils (Sandalwood, Patchouli, Clary Sage, Vetiver, Mandarin, Lemon, Grapefruit, Neroli) along with synthetic notes of Vanilla, Chocolate and Musk. This can be a unisex scent, but favored mostly by our men.

Orange Blossom - The fragrant Orange Blossom is the state flower of Florida. It is thought to have come over to the states from Spain back around the time of Columbus. Our blend starts fairly sharp and heavy on the bergamot, and calms to a lovely orange blossom heart with citrus notes and just the right amount of sweetness. It is a sparkling, cheerful, summery blend.

Passion fruit Papaya - This one’s a delectable combination of fruity delight.  Light and not too sweet, it will remind you of a cool summer fruit salad.  Perfect for hot summer days and Florida winter’s.

Pink Grapefruit - This is the most exhilarating, wake-me-up citrus we've found. It is wonderful in soap and just really hangs on. It doesn't fade like most Pink Grapefruit Essential Oils do. A winner if you like grapefruit and need a little picker upper especially in the morning.  Bright and cheerful.

Sleigh Ride - This fragrance is widely available only at Christmas time. With a top note of Orange, followed by a middle note of Green Apple and winding down to peppermint and cloves.  We generally begin offering it on our site November 1.  However, since it is a favorite of many of our customers, we do offer it as a special order.  Give us a call if you need it outside the normal window.  Otherwise, watch for it in the November and December specials.

Spiced Mahogany - This deep, rich woody scent has notes of Italian Bergamot, Apple Wood and Tonka Bean to round out the darker, more sensuous Patchouli, Cedarwood, and Oakmoss. To keep this fragrance from smelling like a freshly cut wood floor, we've added spices of Cardamom, Vanilla Bourbon and allspice. Because of the Vanilla, this fragrance will discolor your soap but the resulting fragrance is one of sophistication and verve.  This can be a unisex scent, but favored mostly by our men.  And let's not forget that women like it when used by their favorite man.  :-)

Note from The Lady of Shalott:  This is one of my husband's favorites.

Wisteria - the name Wisteria alone promotes an aspect of mystery, longing, and allure.  Like Lavender, the color of the blooms makes a difference in the resulting fragrance.  Some say it is a combination of honeysuckle and lilac.  :-)  Others say it smells like burnt rubber and honey.  :-(.  We think ours smells like honeysuckle, lilac, lavender, and a little vanilla thrown in and we love it.  Decide for yourself.

Amber Romance (type*) - this one is very soft and sexy.  Not a strong scent and could be characterized as a "barely there" fragrance.  It has been described as alluring, delicate, and tantalizing.  Safe to say "wear with caution".  :-)

Athena (The Goddess) - Inspired by the deep beauty of the Goddess -- soft notes of the classics: jasmine and tuberose swirled around an already heavenly floral base. Truly worthy of it's name. Makes a fantastic night-time perfume.

Black Amber and Lavender - Deep and sophisticated this fragrance blends rustic Amber with bold Parisian Lavender. Combined with these main scents is a mysterious Black Myrrh, dulcet vanilla Tonka bean, and a splash of Egyptian Musk. We've rounded out the fragrance with a surprising addition of raw Clary Sage resulting in an earthy concoction with hints of sweetness and pleasing floral notes.  We love this one for romantic nights!

Note from The Lady of Shalott:  This is another personal favorite for those dark, romantic nights with candlelight, wine, and that special someone.  Remember in our about us page we talked about fragrance aura?  Well this is a very good one for attraction.

Black Linen - The counterpart to White Linen, spicy and seductive, musks and violets, cotton and lilies, linens and lotus.  Makes a great unisex scent.  Smells a little like black licorice.

Black Musk - Deep, musky, dark, heavy, incense-y, smokey -- sensual in a mysterious way.

Black Orchid (type*) -  It is a dark and sensual scent that is one of a kind.  So special and different, it really cannot be described.  A dark blend of jasmine, with other unnameable notes.  Definitely for long sensual romantic nights.

Brilliant Game (type*) - definitely a "manly" type fragrance and one that ladies will love on their man.    Notes of Campari, Citrus notes and Red berries, Cedar, Orange blossom, Tonka, caramel, and hay.  Don't let the hay fool you.  These notes blend together to make a spectacular fragrance.

Note from The Lady of Shalott:  I have to say I'm one of those that loves this on her man.

Cucumber Melon - This is a new fragrance for The Lady.  Much requested by customers, we decided to give it a try.  This blend is more melon than cucumber and smells pink and fresh. A fantastic scent for spring & summer, it is the perfect blend of Cucumber and Melon. If you decide on this one, we would love your feedback. Please drop us an email after you have used it, and let us know your opinion.

Diamonds and Emeralds (type*) - A masterpiece, and our interpretation doesn't disappoint. A sharp, flowery fragrance, a blend of green floral top notes with white rose, water lily and gardenia, with lower notes of carnation and jasmine.

Egyptian Musk - The original, popular scent of worldwide fame.  A good solid musk; soft and feminine.

Flower Child - This is a sophisticated, complex scent. It is like patchouli, only softer.  It features top notes of fresh green tea and bergamot, rich middle notes of patchouli, amber, vanilla and jasmine, and is deepened with notes of musk and smooth woods.

Note from The Lady of Shalott:  Although our customers love it, patchouli is not a favorite of The Lady.  However, I love Flower Child.  It is a softer, more romantic patchouli.  It is one of my favorites.

Geisha - A delicate infusion of asian spices, musks and florals, very feminine, seductive, and complex.  For floriental (oriental florals) lovers, this will become a favorite.

Hawaiian Rain - Tropical rains bring fresh exotic flowers into bloom while sending their sweet intoxicating aroma through the islands to arise the senses.  This is definitely a "barely there" fragrance.

Hearts and Daggers (type*) - feminine and sophisticated, this is a fantastic light fragrance for spring and summer.  Soft and sexy.

Heavenly (type*) - This is a very soft, smooth, and creamy fragrance blended with white peony and white musk:  An extremely light fragrance.  If you like “barely there” fragrances, this one’s for you.

Lavender (yardley type) - this fragrance is for those who have loved and used Yardley's Lavender soap.  Our interpretation is as close as we could get to the age old fragrance.  It is lavender but with extra's thrown in.  Spicy and clean,  it is the classic unisex scent.

Miracle (type) - Flowery, yet sharp, this interpretation of the original classic is comprised of fresh and spicy florals with lower notes of amber and jasmine.

Oatmeal, Milk, and Honey - Blended with utmost care, this is the perfect melding of three fabulous scents. Sweet and toasty, this is one soap that you'll want to take a bite out of!

Opium (type*) - The essence of the feminine fragrance is captured in our interpretation.  Refined, subtle, and oriental fragrance, with rose, carnation, sandalwood, pepper, lily of the valley and clove to round our interpretation of this classic fragrance.

Patchouli - Musky, smoky and deep, this fragrance oil is the best out of our extensive testing to make a soap that smelled just like Patchouli essential oil.  A big favorite in the '60's and '70's, it is a classic that's still very popular today.

Note from The Lady of Shalott:  In talking with our customers, it seems that patchouli is one of those scents that you either hate or love. There does not seem to be a middle ground on this one.

Pineapple Cilantro - This glorious sweet fragrance is toned down beautifully by the addition of an unlikely herb: cilantro. Ripe pineapple juices are complemented with coconut shavings, bursting orange notes and sparkling cilantro. Warm vanilla and mists of musk complete this zesty aroma! This fragrance lasts extremely well in soap and can be used as a straight pineapple; the cilantro note is very mild and subtle.

Starlet - A drop dead gorgeous fragrance. Sleek, sophisticated, chic & sexy. Top notes of wild berry and mandarin. Mids of white florals and jasmine.

Note from The Lady of Shalott:  This is my go to fragrance.  I wear this summer, winter, spring, and fall.  My favorite all around fragrance.

Tea Tree and Lavender - this is a blend of tea tree and lavender essential oils.  We use it in our Tea Tree and Lavender facial soap.  It is especially good for troubled skin.

Tuscany (type*) - In this classic interpretation -- a refreshing, spicy, lavender, amber fragrance with a blend of lime, lemon, orange flower, cinnamon and oakmoss.

Vixen - A mind blowing masterpiece from a perfumer at one of my suppliers.  Dazzling florals of all varieties are amazingly blended to create this upscale fragrance for the bold woman in you, not for the quiet or subdued -- silky vanilla base finishes off what is an unforgettable night-time fragrance.

Note from The Lady of Shalott:  This is another go to fragrance of mine, especially for those special evenings out on the town or formal occasions. This one is truly a masterpiece.

Whispers in Amber - At the Lady of Shalott, we love fragrance and mixing different notes to create new and unique blends.  We created this one at the request of our very special daughter whose favorite fragrance had been discontinued.  Amber is usually a base note that is used in perfumery because it adds a sophistication and warmth to fragrance blends. We mix our Amber blend with notes of Vanilla, Patchouli, Sandalwood and Musk. Because of the Vanilla in the blend, it will go a luxurious brown in soaps and toiletries. Use the Amber alone,or mix it with florals for a sultry twist on the basic floral.

Note from The Lady of Shalott:  This fragrance is ours alone.  You can only purchase it from our site or from The Lady of Shalott at a craft show.  It is very popular.  For those who love amber fragrance notes, this is a winner.

White Ginger and Amber - Warm amber blended with a hint of ginger and light florals. This scent is great as a stand-alone perfume and even better soaps and lotions.

Note from The Lady of Shalott:  Like Black amber and lavender, this fragrance is fantastic when layered to produce a light fragrance aura (we don't mean something that proceeds you into a room).  Layer your fragrance products to produce a longer lasting fragrance aura.  Surround yourself with fragrance but don't overdue it.  Your aura should be subtle and attractive, but most of all noticeable only when someone is near you.

White Magnolia - White Magnolia blend is simple and sweet and we think that's a good thing! This floral fragrance does have some supporting notes of Lily of the Valley and Freesia, as well as some intriguing fruity notes of grapefruit and plum. If you're a floral fan, this an excellent one to keep as a staple in your line.  This was one of The Lady's first fragrances.  We have brought it back as a premium fragrance by request.

White Tea and Ginger - this fragrance has a delightful warm and comforting smell. With top notes of Bergamot, Lemon Peels and Green Daylilies, this fragrance is brought back to its roots with a base of Ginger, Nutmeg and Warm Musk. White floral notes, such as Hyacinth, Freesia and Peony complete the mix. This fragrance is unique in many ways and it is difficult to pick out individual notes when you smell the soothing blend.  It's exactly what you would expect from a white tea fragrance.

White Musk (type*) - A soft, creamy and sensual variation of musk.  Clean and sexy just like musk should be.

Wildflowers - Engaging freshly picked wildflowers, pansies, freesia, sunflowers and lilacs.  Definitely a light, fresh summer favorite.

Woods (type*) - with notes of Lavender, Vetiver, and musk, this is definitely a manly scent.  No sweetness here.  Clean, woodsy, and masculine like the original.

Ysatis (type*) - Our interpretation of the warm, golden-rich favorite -- a refreshing, oriental, woodsy fragrance that possesses a blend of mandarin, oakmoss, rose, iris, vanilla, clove, and amber.
